Coach Erik ten Hag praised midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has just returned to play after a period of recovery.
Christian Eriksen has been one of the most impressive players in MU’s midfield since last season. The star born in 1992 played prominently alongside Casemiro. However, this season, injuries caused both of them to continuously miss MU matches.
The Danish player only returned to play earlier this year, having just started in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham at Old Trafford. Most recently, coach Erik ten Hag praised Eriksen, who has just returned to play. He said:
“He is a smart player. He can make the difference, he looks for passes and can make them. He has that ability, not many players can do it. Eriksen is one of our important players.
He’s had a few injuries this season, which have been really bad. However, now that Eriksen can play again, he is maintaining great determination. Of course, I hope he won’t have any more problems between now and the end of the season.”
MU is currently ranked 8th in the Premier League rankings, 8 points behind the Top 4. With Eriksen’s return, MU’s strikers are hoping to have more scoring opportunities.
