Recent reports from Spanish media suggest that Neymar has expressed a desire to return to Barcelona, but according to these reports, coach Hansi Flick has rejected the idea, citing Barcelona’s inability to meet the Brazilian’s current salary demands.

However, this narrative has been directly refuted by Neymar. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Neymar’s representative has clarified the situation:

“Reports suggesting that Neymar wants to leave Al Hilal to return to Barcelona are false. This is highly disrespectful to both Al Hilal and Neymar himself.”

Romano further noted that Neymar is currently under contract with Al Hilal and is genuinely happy in Saudi Arabia. Neymar is focused on recovering from his injuries and returning to action to bring joy to his fans.

Neymar’s time at Al Hilal has been marked by challenges. While his teammates have excelled and consistently won titles, Neymar himself has struggled with frequent injuries. Despite these setbacks, Neymar’s financial situation is exceptionally lucrative. He earns approximately €130 million per year in the Saudi Pro League, making him one of the highest-paid players globally, only behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s €220 million per year.

Neymar’s most successful period was undoubtedly his time at Barcelona, where he formed a formidable attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez. Together, they terrorized defenses across Europe and secured numerous major trophies.

While Messi and Suárez have moved on from European football and now play together at Inter Miami, Neymar’s focus remains on his current club and recovering from his injuries.
