According to L’Equipe, PSG has agreed to loan midfielder Manuel Ugarte to MU, with the Red Devils required to purchase him permanently for a fee of 60 million euros afterward.

Manuel Ugarte’s future has drawn significant attention. The Uruguayan player has not been a priority for coach Luis Enrique since the second half of last season, and PSG’s successful signing of Joao Neves has further limited his playing opportunities.

As a result, Ugarte has requested to leave in search of more game time. PSG is willing to let him go but is not offering a discount, especially since he performed well with the Uruguay national team in the 2024 Copa America.

MU has shown the most interest in Ugarte, but the Red Devils have been adamant about not meeting PSG’s 70 million euro asking price. The Uruguayan midfielder was not used by coach Luis Enrique in the match against Le Havre in the first round of Ligue 1 2024/25. He is reportedly in agreement with MU on personal terms and is determined to leave this summer.

According to L’Equipe, PSG has agreed to loan Ugarte to MU, with the Red Devils obligated to buy him for 60 million euros next summer. The two clubs have made significant progress in negotiations, and the transfer could be completed this week.

This deal is seen as beneficial for all parties involved. MU gains a solid midfield option, Ugarte is assured regular playing time, and PSG secures a substantial financial return.
