TeleLombardia announced that coach Antonio Conte has accepted the terms offered by AC Milan and will become their new captain next season.
Previously, there were many reports that the Rossoneri were interested in acquiring Conte’s services and that he was talking directly with the club’s senior advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And recently transfer expert Luca Momblano announced that Conte has agreed to the offer from the Rossoneri owner and will take on the role of head coach from next season.
Conte took a break during the 2023/24 season to be with his family. He rejected an offer from Napoli in October because he wanted to completely rest.
The Italian strategist terminated his contract with Tottenham Hotspur by mutual consent in March 2023. Since then, Conte has not participated in any football activities.
Conte agreeing to lead Milan will be an interesting event because he was previously the coach of the same city team Inter Milan. Together with the Nerazzurri, Conte won the 2020/21 Serie A championship.
Previously, Conte was the symbol of Juventus, both as a player and as a coach, then left the Turin giant to lead the Italian national team for 2 years.
Conte’s coaching career has had two periods working in the Premier League with Chelsea and Tottenham. He won the Premier League with Chelsea but did not win any titles when leading the same city team Tottenham.
