Defender Sergio Reguilon is about to leave Tottenham on loan again not long after returning from Man Utd.

In the summer of 2020, Spurs bought Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid for 30 million euros. The Spanish defender signed a contract until June 2025.

After the first two seasons with the opportunity to prove himself at Tottenham, Reguilon was not part of the team’s plans in the last two campaigns. Therefore, the former Real Madrid player constantly had to leave on loan.

In the 2022 summer transfer window, Reguilon was pushed to Atletico Madrid. Last summer, the 27-year-old defender came to M.U. However, after just over 4 months of loan, the Red Devils returned Reguilon to Tottenham earlier this month.

More than 2 weeks after leaving M.U, Reguilon once again had to leave. According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils have finalized an agreement for Reguilon to come to Brentford on a 6-month loan.

According to this source, Reguilon’s contract does not have a buyout option. Therefore, the Spanish international will return to Tottenham when the 2023-24 season ends.

Today, local time, the 27-year-old defender will go to Brentford for a medical examination and complete the contract to leave Tottenham on loan for the third time in the past 2 years.
