Wolves are said to be considering recruiting Chelsea striker Armando Broja on loan.
Armando Broja is Chelsea’s second choice as a striker behind Nicolas Jackson. The 22-year-old has only started 7 matches this season, although he was absent in the early part of the season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
With Chelsea being linked with Victor Osimhen and Evan Ferguson, young striker Armando Broja will have to make a decision about his future. And Wolves have opened a new door for the Albanian striker.
Broja’s contract with Chelsea still has 4 years remaining. However, Chelsea is having to sell good players in its academy to avoid violating Premier League financial regulations. Armando Broja can absolutely be among them because this player’s value is at a good level. Chelsea needs a sharp striker and so far Broja has not met the requirements.
Armando Broja has achieved success while playing for Vitesse in the Netherlands on loan for the 2020/21 season. At Southampton the following season, Broja contributed 9 goals. However, the 22-year-old striker has only scored 3 goals in 36 appearances for Chelsea up to this point.
With Nicolas Jackson playing in CAN, Broja will have the opportunity to rise up and prove his ability and take over the starting position. The Blues have two matches left in January against Middlesbrough and Aston Villa. These are all cup matches and the possibility of Broja starting in is not small.
