The England international faces the risk of losing 2 weeks of salary because of a night flight that led to illness before Man Utd’s victory over Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Rashford is currently the focus at Man Utd. As you know, last Wednesday the English striker took a flight to Belfast, Northern Ireland to cheer on his friend Ro-Shaun Williams, a defender who grew up from the M.U training academy and now plays for the Larne club.

Returning to Manchester from a trip to Belfast, Rashford fell ill. Therefore, the 26-year-old striker could not practice to prepare for the match against Newport County last night.

Notably, Rashford got sick from partying in Northern Ireland while visiting close friend Ro-Shaun Williams. According to The Athletic, not only one but the English player went to a nightclub to have fun on both Wednesday and Thursday nights. As a result, Rashford was sick so he couldn’t practice with M.U on Friday.

According to SunSport, because of the scandal, Rashford was removed from the match against Newport County by coach Ten Hag. In addition, the 26-year-old striker is also at risk of being fined 2 weeks’ salary, equivalent to 650,000 pounds (Rashford receives 325,000 pounds per week).

Also related to this scandal, in an interview after the win over Newport County, when asked about Rashford, coach Ten Hag said: “It’s an internal issue. I will deal with it.”

Rashford tarnished his own image at a time when he had an alarming decline in form and was widely criticized. Since the beginning of this season, the player has only scored 4 goals and had 6 assists in 26 matches in all competitions. It is important to know that in the previous campaign, Rashford exploded with 30 goals and 11 assists in 56 matches for M.U.
