According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Arsenal has turned down multiple offers for defender Jakub Kiwior and will not allow the Polish player to leave this summer.
Arsenal recently signed versatile defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, who can play as both a full-back and a center-back. Additionally, Jurrien Timber has returned from injury. This led to speculation that Arsenal might sell Jakub Kiwior to balance their finances.
The Gunners received two offers for Kiwior from Bologna and Inter Milan, but they refused to let him go on loan. Napoli and Fiorentina also showed interest, but Arsenal declined their approaches as well, since those clubs were also seeking a loan deal.
TuttoMercatoWeb reports that a Greek club and a Turkish club also made loan offers for Kiwior, but Arsenal continued to reject them. Arsenal is only willing to sell Kiwior outright for £17 million; if no club meets this asking price, they will keep him.
Currently, it is challenging for Kiwior to get game time, but he has expressed his desire to stay and compete for a starting position. If his situation does not improve, he may request a move in the winter transfer window.
Arsenal remains unbeaten after the first three matches of the Premier League 2024/25 season, with two wins and one draw. Only Manchester City and Liverpool have won all three of their opening games. These teams are expected to be the main contenders in the race for the title.
