On Goal, former footballer Christophe Dugarry expressed his dissatisfaction with Real Madrid’s signing of Kylian Mbappe.
After much speculation, Kylian Mbappe finally joined Real Madrid. The French forward was expected to be a leading figure in attack for Los Blancos, helping them secure titles.
However, Mbappe has faced some difficulties in his new colors. He failed to score in the first three games of the season but recently found the net in a match against Real Betis.
In an interview with Goal, former player Christophe Dugarry stated that Mbappe has been performing below expectations.
“Despite the statistics and notable goals, Mbappe has been playing at an average level and not performing well for a long time. For many months, whether at the French national team, Paris Saint-Germain, or now at Madrid.”
This is, however, just one subjective opinion. Mbappe is still regarded as one of the top strikers in Europe and has made it into the top 30 nominees for this year’s Ballon d’Or.
The 1998-born forward will need more time to adapt at Real Madrid before confirming himself to the expectations of fans.
