Legend Alan Shearer has warned Marcus Rashford not to continue getting into trouble off the field if he does not want his career to be affected.

Last weekend, Marcus Rashford was caught partying at a nightclub. The English striker drank alcohol and smoked e-cigarettes, then was forced to call in sick at Man United’s training session the next day. Therefore, Rashford was absent from last night’s match between the Red Devils and Newport in the FA Cup.

Not only fans, famous figures in English football also strongly condemned Rashford’s actions, among them Alan Shearer. In the most recent interview, the 53-year-old legend warned Rashford to immediately stop his playboy habits.

“Marcus Rashford possesses great talent. But we saw him disciplined for being late to meetings last season. Clearly there is something wrong with the relationship between Rashford and his family or the club.

Rashford cannot continue this situation, cannot just waste his talent like that. He needs to be closely supervised, needs someone to always be by his side and tell him that he will regret a lot at the end of his career if he continues to live like this.

Marcus Rashford needs to be reformed. He scored 30 goals last season but only scored 4 goals this season. When watching Rashford play, I thought he was carrying the whole world on his shoulders. Rashford needs to review himself because he is playing very badly,” Shearer commented.

In the interview before the Newport match, coach Erik ten Hag also got irritated when asked about Rashford. Sun Sport said the Dutch strategist decided to fine his student 650,000 pounds (equivalent to 2 weeks of Rashford’s salary) as a deterrent.

In recent times, the British media has continuously reported that Marcus Rashford was involved in a conflict with Erik ten Hag, thereby seriously dropping his performance. The discord between the two teachers and students was shown even more clearly when Rashford was the only M.U player to comment on Jadon Sancho’s announcement to join Dortmund, who also had an irreparable conflict with Ten Hag.
