A week after Rashford “got hit”, it was Luke Shaw’s turn to be fined for violating traffic laws.
According to SunSport, Luke Shaw was fined for parking his black Lamborghini Urus outside Wilmslow train station in Cheshire, Manchester for too long. For violating traffic laws, the English defender received 4 tickets with a total fine of 240 pounds (each ticket is 60 pounds).
Notably, Luke Shaw is not the only M.U star “hit” for violating traffic laws in the new year 2024. Nearly a week ago, Rashford was also fined 60 pounds for parking on the double yellow line on the right. in addition to a restaurant in Wilmslow, Cheshire, Manchester.
The amount of money Rashford and Shaw were fined is insignificant compared to the salary this duo receives at M.U. According to SunSport, the English striker pocketed a salary of 300,000 pounds per week, while the 28-year-old defender’s figure was 150,000 pounds per week.
Luke Shaw was punished while actively training to regain his best physical condition. Because he was not in good shape, the England defender missed the draw with Tottenham in round 21 of the Premier League. This is the fourth consecutive match Luke Shaw has been absent since returning from injury late last year.
Previously, Luke Shaw had to rest for 3 months, missing 16 matches due to a muscle injury from the end of August to the end of November 2023. In total, the 28-year-old defender missed 20 matches in all competitions this season.
After the draw with Tottenham, M.U took a 2-week break before returning in the away match against fourth-tier team Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup (January 28). This precious break is enough for Luke Shaw to recover 100% of his physical strength and be able to reappear against Newport County.
